The Chinese word ´Ming´ stands for the combination of extremes. The word means both sun and moon, man and wife, east and west.

The project `The Ming Principle´ is an exploration into the possibilities of combining elements from Chinese and western music.

In this project a number of Dutch jazz musicians and Chinese musicians meet and explore ways to combine their very different musical traditions.
